FoAM has a longstanding research thread called groWorldHPI exploring human-plant interaction in a variety of ways. Boskoi became one such tool: a mobile platform that helps you map and navigate the edible landscape, sourcing ancient knowledge through emerging technology. It became the worlds first smartphone app related to nature, as a database of ethnoculinary and ethnobotanic knowledge. It offered detailed information on wild food sources – their location, edible parts, medicinal and culinary uses. The programme included fieldwork sessions in the Netherlands, Belgium, US, UK, Slovenia, Finland and Denmark.
